9:40 a.m - Doors open & concessions -  Gigi's Pretzels , along with   Papa Stew's Kitchen food truck at 11 a.m. so you can take some lunch home with you.

10 a.m. - Play begins.

ALSO: There will be local authors selling their books in the foyer, even us! We have books with plays for kids.

Play Production: Nursery Rhymes:

2-Week Workshop (Age 6-9)

Nursery Rhymes come alive as young actors prepare not only to say nursery rhymes but to perform them. They'll rehearse, memorize and play theater games. They'll perform for family and friends at the end of this two week course, using costume, prop and set pieces that are provided and that they provide. Co-sponsored with Higher Ground Learning.

 

Play Production: Fables:
2-Week Workshop (Age 10-13)

In this two week workshop, students will prepare to put on a short play based on a classic tale. There will be rehearsing, memorizing and playing theater games. And a performance at the end. Most costume, set and prop pieces will be provided; some common items will be provided by the youth actors. Co-sponsored with Higher Ground Learning.

 

Young Writers Workshop (Age 12-14)

This workshop is for the student who wants to improve his or her academic writing skills and will cover all types of writing, from creative to expository and everything in between! We will incorporate individual as well as group exercises to foster a balanced learning environment. Students will practice foundational skills, engage in creative and persuasive writing exercises, and stretch their boundaries in new ways to find and express their voice!
